Insights Discovery Workshop

On Friday 27th January 2023 BHNC participated in an Insights Discovery Workshop led by Kate Pheasant, Director of Training and Development from MEE Consultancy. MEE Consultancy are a team of experienced, highly trained executive coaches and facilitators with an understanding of the challenges faced by leadership and management teams today. We had the pleasure and benefits of participating in the all-day Insights Discovery Workshop where Kate guided us as a team, to understand the outcome of our own behavioural preferences and also how to communicate in the most effective way. Insights Discovery is a workshop based on Jungeon psychology using colours as shorthand to help participants understanding of different individual styles and approaches to work and life.  Prior to the day we had to complete an online Insights Discovery Preference Evaluator. The result of this online evaluator created an Insights Discovery Personal Profile, which showed how our behavioural preferences may influence our personal and communication style in the workplace. For the first half of the day we explored the four colour energies of the Insights Discovery model: Fiery Red, Sunshine Yellow, Earth Green, and Cool Blue as well as identifying the eight psychological types: Director, Motivator, Inspirer, Helper, Supporter, Coordinator, Observer, and Reformer. Then in the afternoon we was given our Discovery Profile which was personal to us as individuals and contained information about our personal styles, key strengths and weaknesses, the value each of us bring to our teams, how we prefer to be managed and tips on effective communication. This was a great experience for BHNC staff and helped us understand our individual performance development and wider team development. It increased our self-awareness, improved our communication with one another, our decision-making and ultimately performance. We would like to thank Kate for her time and providing an insightful day for BHNC staff.   Maria Paul  BHNC Team Project Administrator

BHNC staff experience and outcomes of The Insights Discovery Workshop...

“I really enjoyed participating in the Insights discovery workshop day, it was so useful  in discovering how myself and my colleagues work. After Covid I think we all got used to working remote and Kate really helped us reconnect as a team. The personal profiles we received was so interesting to read I even showed my family and friends who agreed how accurate it was!”
